Samer Talalka, a Bedouin, was taken captive from Kibbutz Nir Am. He had a passion for motorcycles and enjoyed exploring the countryside and spending time with friends.

He resided in Hura and worked at a chicken hatchery in the kibbutz. On the morning of October 7th, he was at his workplace. Following the attack, he contacted his sister to inform her about being injured by gunfire.

According to his father, they lost contact at 07:00 local time on the morning of the attacks. A photo of him being escorted through Gaza was shared on Telegram.

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu related their deaths as an "unbearable tragedy". Despite the challenges we face tonight, we will heal our wounds, learn from this experience, and make every effort to bring back our abducted citizens safely," he stated.

John Kirby, the White House spokesperson, referred to the killings as a "tragic mistake" and acknowledged that the US did not have complete visibility on the operation's unfolding.
