The Hartford Courant stated that the police testified that security tape showed Fotis Dulos driving in Hartford later on the day that Jennifer Dulos disappeared, with Troconis sitting in the passenger seat. Fotis Dulos was seen making stops to take out alleged evidence in trash cans, according to the testimony of the police. Prosecutors said that they had retrieved damaged garments, gloves, and zip ties from the garbage cans, and they displayed these items to the jurors in court.
The counsel for the defense, Jon Schoenhorn, stated that Troconis never denied being in the car with her boyfriend. However, he said that she denied having any involvement in or knowledge of any crimes that Fotis Dulos may have committed.
During her final statements, prosecutor Michelle Manning brought up the garage where authorities suspect Fotis Dulos killed his wife, as well as the blood-soaked things that were thrown away in the trash.
"There's blood spatter throughout the garage, throughout the undercarriage of two cars, footprints and swipes of blood," according to Manning.
